Commentary Appropriate For Today’s Changing World

Battle Fatigue

This morning on Fox and Friends I watched as Eleanor Clift, normally a stout-hearted Democratic defender-of-the-realm, squared off against Mike Gallagher in another no holds barred slugfest concerning Senator Kerry’s Vietnam service. The content of the debate was not near so important as was Eleanor’s demeanor. There was a term used to describe Marines in WWII that had been in the Pacific too long, under too much stress….”Asiatic”. Yep, it fit her to a tee. She had that “quivery” voice and the thousand yard stare that was so common to many over stressed combat veterans. Called upon one too many times to defend the indefensible, she was at the end of her rope.

Is this another sign that the armor plate, supplied by the media, has been penetrated? We’ll see. Perhaps it won’t be long.
