Intercession

Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
Have you ever gotten to the point where you felt as if you had walked your last mile? You weren’t able to go another step; either physically, emotionally, or spititually? Have you ever been at a place in life where things were so mixed up and confused that you didn’t even know how to pray; let alone what to pray for? I have. However, Paul assures us that even though we may have reached the end of our rope, the Holy Spirit is there to rescue us. The Holy Spirit discerns our every thought and need. The relationship between the Father and the Holy Spirit is so close that the prayers of the Holy Spirit need not even be audible. What a comfort to know that even in our utmost extremity, the Lord, in the form of the Holy Spirit, is there to comfort, guide, and intercede for us.
Lord, how I thank you for your loving care. Thank you that I need not rely on my own strength. How I praise you that in my weakness, your strength is made evident.
