Refuge

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
Do you have a refuge to run to when the world, as you know it, seems to be crumbling around you? Is there a place in your heart where you can seek safety and strength? If not, I’d invite you to become acquainted with the Lord, Jesus Christ. In Matthew 6:28-30 he calls, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus,
Thank you that we who are weary and burdened can call upon you for relief. Thank you that we can find our rest in you. When we are weak, help us to rely you for our strength.
