USS Cole

Five years ago today, seventeen young patriots of the USS Cole (DDG 67) gave their lives for their country. As we sit safe and secure in our homes tonight, let us not forget the sacrifice that was made by those noble young sailors. They died that we might continue to taste the sweet fruits of liberty.

May God continue to bless this great nation with men and women such as those that laid down their lives. My prayer tonight is that they will never be forgotten by a grateful nation.

    Mr Bob Says:

I noticed all but one are enlisted and that one officer was still an Ensign. Seaman recruit means they are just out of boot camp. It is no wonder that most people I know in the Navy are fully behind this president, the war on terror, they waited a long time for justice.
