In my last post, I called attention to the fact that our current conflict is more than just a battle with radical Islamicists. I ventured that it is a “winner take all” cultural war. The events described below are just another example of that war.
Nigerian Muslims protesting caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad attacked Christians and burned churches on Saturday, killing at least 15 people in the deadliest confrontation yet in the whirlwind of Muslim anger over the drawings.
It was the first major protest to erupt over the issue in Africa’s most populous nation. An Associated Press reporter saw mobs of Muslim protesters swarm through the city center with machetes, sticks and iron rods. One group threw a tire around a man, poured gas on him and set him ablaze…
…Thousands of rioters burned 15 churches in Maiduguri [Nigeria] in a three-hour rampage before troops and police reinforcements restored order, Nigerian police spokesman Haz Iwendi said. Iwendi said security forces arrested dozens of people in the city about 1,000 miles northeast of the capital, Lagos.
Chima Ezeoke, a Christian Maiduguri resident, said protesters attacked and looted shops owned by minority Christians, most of them with origins in the country’s south.
“Most of the dead were Christians beaten to death on the streets by the rioters,” Ezeoke said. Witnesses said three children and a priest were among those killed…
Wake up America! It’s time to take off the politically correct blinders and deal with the issue at hand.

Wake up america, Bush fights for nothing. It is a winner take all, but Bush doesn’t fight for you, he fights for nothing. Islamofascists fight for islam, and all islamics on the planet agree, including those in the US. When Bush doesn’t fight against, he doesn’t fight against the real enemy, which is islam. By cuddling up with the saudis, who are the biggest exporters of islamic terrorism, Bush and the rest of the freemasons show their real face, the one who is against christians. Only he cannot be overtly against christians since that would betray the CIA/mob code of silence. The one that says don’t tell christians we’re behind Pol Pot and his muslim henchmen who butchered millions of christians in Cambodia. The US fights for islam all over the world, if you care to look for it. Why is it that the US is the biggest supporter of terrorists around the world? Yet pretends to fight terrorism?

February 20, 2006 - 12:15 pmI don’t agree with the above comment, however that being said I agree that America needs to wake up. There is a greater battle in the world right now. It is between the powers of this earth. Between Satan and that forces of God. Islam is just one of the pawns

February 21, 2006 - 6:41 amI probably spend far too much time blogging, but I`m interested to see that someone thinks America has politically correct blinders (or blinkers in England)…
The enemy is not really Islam, it is Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism. Alas, the actions of America and other countries in the West - unquestioning support for Israel, going to war against countries just because…, for example are radicalizing the Muslim communities. The problem is, those Muslim communities are now located in all our countries, so we have politically and religiously antagonized groups with growing support for militant violence in the name of Islam in our midst.
And it`s not Saudi Arabia… it`s Pakistan…
