Thoughts Of A Not So Serial Writer

Whadayamean I haven’t posted in a long time? Haruuumph! Er, well, I guess you’d be right. My apologies to you three regulars that frequent these spaces.

GWOT…for some reason or other, I just can’t get excited about parroting back the gazillions of words that have been written about he who is now worm food. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m glad he’s gone. He was a monster and his death will have incredible implications for the GWOT. However, it’s all been said by far more sophisticated writers than your your humble scribe. So….thankyewverymuch….I’ll just move on.

Summertime…it’s here. In all it’s glory..supposed to be 98 degrees today. Can’t wait (sic). Speaking of can’t wait…..we’ve got great big, beautiful strawberry plants in the garden this year. Yep, I can see it now…a great big humongous bowl of vanilla ice cream topped by strawberries. IF, and I mean IF…we can keep the squirrels away. Oh, by the way, did you know that squirrels like strawberries? I mean REALLY like ‘em. Does anybody over forty remember the Donald Duck cartoons where he, in a never ending battle to protect his garden, wages endless war with Chip ‘n’ Dale. Well, that’s pretty much been the case around here. Sadly, to date the score is Squirrels-2 (great big beautiful plants), Me-0. Ah well, today is yet another opportunity for truth, justice, and the American way to triumph.

Stock market…without going into the gruesome details, suffice it to say that it’s not for amateurs, the faint of heart, or those with unrealistic dreams of becoming wealthy. Stock market-5 Me-0. ‘Nuf said.

Well, that about catches things up. Once again, I’ll lead you down the garden path with promises of more regular blogging. If you’re gullible enough to believe me, follow along. If not, come along anyway….you just might read something you like.
