UPDATE 7/21/2006: I normally spend a reasonable amount of time reading a source before I link to it. However, because of time constraints, I failed to give Debbie Schlussel’s column the full attention that it deserved. After re-visiting her column, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is not as well sourced as it should be. The assertions she makes, may, or may not be correct (she does not link to any outside sources to buttress her arguments). Therefore, I would encourage you, as readers of Damascus Road, to give her column a very careful reading and then decide, for yourselves, whether or not you are comfortable with it’s accuracy.
