OBL/Iraq Connection

Ed at Captain’s Quarters, brings this interesting piece to our attention. Well……so much for the claims by the left that there was no OBL/Iraq connection.
If Saddam Hussein offered asylum to bin Laden, it would certainly indicate a willingness to ally himself with AQ, as well as the intent to partner with them against the US. Saddam wouldn’t have made that kind of an offer to a group already responsible for a string of attacks against American interests just for the pleasure of their company. Sheltering Osama would hardly have demonstrated his willingness to abide by international law or to live peacefully with no ill intent towards the US.

What do you mean ignorant? It is a fact that Saddam offered asylum to OBL. How on earth would any reasonable person see that as anything other than a budding connection to AQ? It’s obvious that Saddam was trying his best to get in bed with these killers. Furthermore, Captain Ed is right in that to harbor OBL Saddam would have been breaking international law. He would have known that. That’s another indicator of his dangerousness.
So, what’s your opinion? All I’ve ever seen out of you is insults… Never any facts or arguments. Your insult seems pretty hollow right now.
