Curious,

Might I remind you that the ONLY reason Foley is on the ballot this year is because Democratic operatives broke the story one day after it was too late to change the ballot (dirty partisan trick indeed). As far as dangerous child loving tendencies, how about Gerry Studs? He went the extra mile and actually molested an underage page. The Democrats defended him.

As far as the house leadership covering for Foley; that's BS and it's been proven as BS. If anyone knew about this and didn't do anything about it until it was politically expedient for them it's the Democrats. It's been proven that CREW -- a Soros funded attack dog -- had the IM's and held on to them until they thought the issue could do the most damage to the Republicans. Don't you dare get up on your moral high horse on this one because the Dems are into the Foley scandal up to their eyeballs.

What's more Kerry DIDN'T botch a joke. He said what he said. He slandered our troops. It's not the first time he's done it, and it won't be the last!

Kerry's disdain for the military has been well documented since the '70's.

The NY Times decided that the Kerry kerfuffle belonged on page 18 of their paper and not mentioned until the 15th paragraph at that.

I guess all of us non-elites are too stupid to realize that it was just a joke gone awry.

CS...Just food for thought....I suppose that you wouldn't call the dems temper tantrum over the Mark Foley affair political grandstanding? That's politics....both parties participate in that sort of thing. Neither side has the moral high ground on the subject of cheap partisan attacks. For what it's worth, I believe that Foley is a good-for-nothing slime. His actions, whether legal or not, were reprehensible.

CS...No. Unfortunately, he's not on the ballot. He's truly the gift that keeps on giving. BTW, his remarks go way beyond partisan politics. He has a long history of insulting and degrading our service men and women. Regardless of the spin he tries to put on his remarks (what joke? where's the context?)...words have meaning. Quite frankly, his comments are already having an effect on the current elections. He's been dis-invited to one democratic candidate's fund raiser. Additionally, he's cancelled two other trips on his own.

Curious,

Nice try there. They did not call for our withdrawl from Baghdad or Iraq. They simply called for us to pull down our checkpoints in eastern and central Baghdad. That's what happens when you listen to the nutty left... you don't get the whole story... Let that be a lesson to ya folks...

CS..

If this is what you're referring to, it's a far cry from asking us to leave Iraq:

BAGHDAD, Oct. 31 — Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki demanded the removal of American checkpoints from the streets of Baghdad on Tuesday, in what appeared to be his latest and boldest gambit in an increasingly tense struggle for more independence from his American protectors

That was from the NYT. In case you can't figure it out, there's a big difference between removing checkpoints and leaving the country. If this is not what you're referring to, please supply the links to your statement

Not surprising, Kerry has shown his contempt for our military men and women before.

No way can they spin this, he said it right out loud, and clear.
