Honor, Courage, and Commitment

There…did you read the background material and listen to the audio link? Good. I think that it’s real important that we remember those pieces as we think about the vitriol, lies, and nonsense Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their fellow Democrats, and sadly a few Republicans, have been spouting over the last several days. Their biggest criticism has been of the President’s plan to increase troop strength in Iraq. Rather than increase forces, Pelosi and her crowd want to pull out of Iraq completely. This, of course, would be disastrous. It would only invite anarchy.

It’s men like Navy Seals Murphy, Axelson, and Dietz that will forge the future for Iraq. It is because of their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of thousands of others like them, that we will be successful. Their courage, honor and dedication to mission will shine as an example of the kind of effort it will take for us to succeed. Pelosi, Reid, and others of their ilk are not worthy to represent the men and women that have taken up the sword and have answered the call to serve their country.

So, gentle reader, before you listen too intently or become too enamored with the ideas and plans of Pelosi, Reid and their kind, remember those valiant soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines that have answered their nation’s call to serve, protect, and defend our nation.
