Where Was Ya, When We Needed Ya?

With this latest snub from its European allies, it looks as if Britain will have to go its own, with only help from the US.

European foreign ministers failed last night to back Britain in a threat to freeze the €14 billion trade in exports to Iran, as the hostage crisis descended into a propaganda circus.

France, Iran’s second-largest EU trading partner, cautioned that further confrontation should be avoided. The Dutch said it was important not to risk a breakdown in dialogue.

In its latest show of intestinal fortitude,Europe, along with France, has shown that they have no interest in helping GB in its most recent struggle with the Iranian brand of Islamofacism. I’m truly impressed. How about you?

The latest video and written confessions appeared the most stage-managed yet.

Nathan Summers, a 21-year-old sailor, is seen clearly being prompted and apparently struggling to remember his lines as he apologises for trespassing in Iranian waters. His father, Roy Summers, 50, of Hayle, Cornwall, said: “Nathan is a man of very few words. He was obviously given a script to read. Nathan will have gone along with what they asked him to do, just to keep the situation calm.”

Based on what is described above, it looks as if someone in Tehran is out to capture an Emmy, along with British sailors and Marines.

The truly sad thing is that our allies, the British sailors and Marines, were placed in an untenable position by the British higher command authority; and once placed there, received no support from their ship, the Cornwall, or anyone above that command level.

They got to parade 15 British soldiers about on TV until the people probably got tired of looking at them, saying,”Neenerneenerneeeeeneer!!!! We got your guys and you can’t do a thing about it!” And no one did a thing other than a weak tongue lashing.

Minie Abu-Bu now looks like a “nice guy” because he’s releasing them.

Next time, and there will be a next time now, he might not be so “nice.” He won and he knows it, he won and “we” let him.

I’m glad the soldiers are safe and being freed, very glad. Of that you can be assured. But I am very concerned about the ramifications of the pussification of the western world.

    Jenn,

You’re probably right. However, the two aircraft carrier battle groups in the gulf may have had something to do with releasing the Brits. You never know what was said in back channel communications.

On the other hand, he may have just extracted all of the political capital from the situation that he can.

    Only da Shadow knows……
